  • About Me: My martial arts training began in 1964 when I was 7 years old and studied Judo at Clark AFB, Philippine Islands. I advanced to Yellow belt then we had to move back to the U.S. After many years of not doing martial arts I decided I wanted to start training again and I found a Soo Bahk Do Instructor in 1993, Kyo Sa Robert Schmidt in Virginia. I trained with him until 1996 then began training with Mohammad Vatan in Maryland. Sa Bom Nim Vatan is still my instructor today.
